Job Description

As a Video Editor in the AAA gaming industry, your role will revolve around creating dynamic, engaging, and thrilling trailers for Techland's games. Your expertise in editing, game capture, and compositing will be the key to crafting unforgettable experiences.

As a Video Editor, you won't just piece gameplay together into dynamic sequences; you'll also use your creativity and vision to capture the essence of the game in individual screenshots.

Your work as a Video Editor will be crucial for marketing campaigns, helping to build excitement and hype around new releases. You'll collaborate with the creative team, producers, sound designers, and other developers to create awesome trailers that will captivate the gaming community and generate immense anticipation.

Your daily tasks:

  • creating video assets, that will make people excited about games published by Techland,
  • creating compositions for screenshots and key visuals in our game engine,
  • recording game footage for trailers, 
  • cooperating with the Franchise Director, and the Brand Managers, PR and Social Media Teams to create assets that communicate and achieve campaign goals,
  • working closely with the whole Asset Team (video editors, copywriters, motion designers, graphic designers) to create videos, that are artistically consistent with the rest of the promotional assets,
  • creating non-standard forms of video that will engage fans,
  • supporting the video producer in creating a swift and efficient production pipeline for each asset. Communicating your needs and estimations for each phase of video production,
  • collaborating with animators during motion capture sessions, planning for new animation sessions, participation in motion capture sessions, and providing feedback on the prepared animations,
  • collaborating with copywriters to transform briefs into scripts.

Qualifications

You meet our expectations if you have:

  • experience in editing and motion graphic skills, that let you create videos, that will engage players,
  • solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects),
  • experience working with a game engine (e.g., creating scenes, setting screenshots, lighting)
  • familiarity with compositing and special effects,
  • experience with filmmaking (e.g., staging, pacing, and creating compelling scenes)
  • ability to work to a tight schedule.
  • strategic approach: plan your work efficiently and deliver it on time,
  • an eye for detail; think outside the box, bring yours and your team's ideas to life,
  • problem-solver attitude - you are the fixer, finding the best solutions,
  • good communication skills and easily collaborate with Team members, Directors, Producers, and partner teams,
  • very good command of English,
