Job Description
The PR/Communications Lead defines and protects Techland’s public voice, shaping how the world perceives our games, studio, and creative philosophy. You will lead global communication strategy across earned, owned, and press channels, ensuring that every beat (from product announcements to executive messaging) reinforces Techland’s reputation for ambitious, player-centric storytelling.
As a senior communications leader, you’ll oversee media relations, narrative development, crisis management, and major press moments, acting as both strategist and spokesperson. Working closely with Marketing, Publishing, and Development leadership, you will align messaging across regions and teams while fostering trust with press, partners, and players.
Your work will bring clarity, consistency, and emotional intelligence to how Techland communicates.
Your daily tasks:
Developing and leading Techland’s global communications and PR strategy across corporate and product narratives.
Leading and mentoring PR/comms staff and establishing high operational standards.
Advising studio leadership on executive communications, thought leadership, and public positioning.
Overseeing media relations, maintaining strong relationships with top-tier global and regional outlets.
Planning and executing major PR beats, including reveals, interviews, previews, and announcements.
Managing crisis communication and rapid-response messaging with clarity and professionalism.
Ensuring consistent storytelling by partnering with Marketing, Community, and Creative teams.
Directing and evaluating external PR agencies and regional teams for aligned global execution.
Supporting internal communications, ensuring Techland’s employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s public-facing mission.
Defining and tracking key communication KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in reach and sentiment.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or media strategy, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity.
Proven success leading communications for major AAA or entertainment IPs, from announcement to post-launch.
Strong media network and deep understanding of the global games press ecosystem.
Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills, capable of adapting tone and message across audiences.
Experience developing and enforcing narrative frameworks and messaging guides.
Ability to perform calmly under pressure, handling sensitive information with discretion.
Collaborative leadership style, able to influence across teams and geographies.
Very good command of English.
Nice to Have:
Experience in corporate communications or brand reputation management.
Familiarity with crisis communication, executive coaching, and press interview preparation.
Strong understanding of digital media trends and influencer integration within modern PR ecosystems.
Passion for video games, storytelling, and building trust between creators and their audiences.
